Terms of Service
Version: 2026-10-v1 Effective date: 2026-10-24
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the video production, post-production and related services that Angel City Luxe Video Studios LLC (brand name ANGEL CITY LUXE VIDEO STUDIOS, "the studio", "we") provides to you ("the client", "you") through angelcityluxe.com, the client space, email or any other channel. By submitting a quote request, accepting a quote, signing a contract or making a payment, you agree to these Terms. If a project's quote or contract differs from these Terms, the quote or contract governs.
1. Quotes
- The instant quote on our website is an estimate calculated automatically from the information you enter; it is not a final quote. Items marked "to be confirmed" (for example complex post-production, special equipment, or travel when an address cannot be recognized) are added only after the studio confirms them.
- Travel is estimated from the map (round-trip miles × rate; travel time = round-trip miles ÷ 40 mph, rounded up to the half hour, with a daily cap) and confirmed against the actual route. Parking, tolls, flights, hotels and similar costs are charged at cost.
- A formal quote sent by the studio after review is valid for 30 days (or the date shown on the quote). After it expires, prices and availability may change and must be confirmed again.
- An extra discount requested under "More ways to work together" is only a request; it takes effect only when the studio confirms it in writing.
2. Booking, rescheduling and cancellation
- A shoot date is booked only when the studio confirms it in writing. A successful payment does not by itself confirm a date.
- If you need to reschedule, please tell the studio in writing as early as possible. We will try to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee the original price or the new date.
- Costs already incurred (for example venues, equipment, crew, travel already booked, or planning already completed) are payable whether or not the project is cancelled. Payments already made are handled according to the payment schedule and cancellation terms in the quote or contract; where nothing is agreed, the studio refunds the balance after deducting costs already incurred.
- If a shoot cannot go ahead because of weather, airspace restrictions, the venue, or other events beyond either party's control, both sides will agree on a new date; this is not a breach by either party.
3. Payment
- Payments follow the installment schedule in the quote or contract (for example deposit, shoot payment, final payment). For projects that require a contract, payment can be made only after the contract is signed.
- Payment methods: Zelle, or credit / debit card (processed by Stripe; the studio does not store your card number). Zelle payments require a transfer receipt and count as paid only after the studio confirms receipt.
- If a payment is overdue, the studio may pause further filming, production or delivery until it is paid.
- FilmShare points are earned, used and applied according to the points rules published in the client space.
4. Delivery
- Delivery times follow the quote or contract; rush delivery must be confirmed in advance. Delivery time starts from the agreed start point (usually once filming is complete and you have provided the required materials); delays caused by the client extend the timeline accordingly.
- Final videos are delivered as digital files (download link or client space). Raw footage can be provided free of charge as agreed; drives, shipping or large transfers are confirmed separately.
- Delivered files are kept in the client space for at least 1 year; please download and back them up promptly. After 1 year the studio may delete them and does not promise long-term storage.
5. Revisions
- Unless the quote says otherwise, each final video includes 2 rounds of revisions. A revision is an adjustment within the agreed direction, structure and footage (for example pacing, caption text, music replacement or color touch-ups).
- Additional rounds, a change of creative direction, reshoots, extra footage or complex effects are quoted separately.
6. Copyright and license
- Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the studio owns the copyright in the footage and videos it films and produces. Once all payments are made, the client receives a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the final videos for the agreed purposes (for example its website, social media, advertising and internal promotion).
- For any material the client provides (footage, trademarks, music, people's likenesses, etc.), the client warrants that it has the necessary rights or permissions and is responsible for them.
- Display permission is confirmed project by project: the studio publishes a project's work on its website, social media or portfolio only after the client agrees to display permission for that project. Material involving people's likenesses, trade secrets, music, trademarks or third-party rights needs separate confirmation. Display permission is not a transfer of copyright.
7. Membership and discounts
- Growth Together membership is free: no membership, annual or sign-up fees. Membership and each project's display permission are recorded separately; being a member does not make future projects public automatically.
- Receiving any discount (the 30% member discount, member package prices, or Corporate VIP) means agreeing that the studio may publish and show this project's work. If you do not agree to publication, the project is billed at full price with no discount of any kind.
- Member discount: once a member agrees to display permission for the project, filming, editing and lighting fees are 30% off. Planning and copywriting, aerial filming, interpreters, bilingual versions, rush fees, travel and other fees are not discounted. Fixed-price member packages and Corporate VIP do not receive the extra 30%.
- Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other offers unless the studio confirms in writing.
8. Corporate Annual Video VIP
- The annual fee is $12,000, paid once, for $36,000 of services at the studio's standard prices: $3,000 per month for 12 consecutive calendar months (Los Angeles time) starting from the month agreed at approval.
- Each month's allowance is valid only in that month and does not roll over; any unused allowance expires at month end.
- The allowance is used at standard prices: filming $100/hour (actual service time, rounded up to the half hour; up to 2 on-site visits a month, one videographer each); lighting and drone footage $100 per session each; round-trip travel $2/mile; premium company film $100/minute (up to 6 minutes a month); short videos $25 each (up to 10 a month). Retouched photos are $10 each, deducted per photo from the allowance; they do not count toward the premium-minute or short-video limits and are limited only by the monthly allowance. The annual highlight film and annual summary are provided once a year and are not deducted. An English interpreter ($300 per 8 hours) is paid separately.
- Filming must be booked at least 15 days in advance; the date is agreed by both sides and this is not an on-call service. Anything beyond the month's allowance or limits is quoted at regular rates.
- After each service, the studio records the deduction (time, mileage, deliverables, amount deducted, remaining this month); you can see it in the client space and will receive a statement by email.
- You may request a refund at any time: refund = $12,000 − services already used (at full standard prices, with no discount); no refund if the result is below zero. Allowance that expired unused does not count as used. Example: 3 months of $2,500 standard-price services each, $7,500 in total, means a refund of $12,000 − $7,500 = $4,500; if $13,000 has been used, the refund is $0.
- Once a refund is confirmed, it is returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.
- Corporate VIP is a discounted plan: it requires Growth Together membership and agreeing that the studio may publish and show the work of projects filmed during the VIP term.
9. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate shoot details, locations and contact information, make sure the locations are accessible, and obtain the necessary permissions (venue, people, likeness releases, etc.).
- The client and the venue are responsible for the safety of on-site staff and guests; the studio follows the venue's safety rules.
- The client may not ask the studio to film or produce content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory or against platform rules.
10. Limitation of liability and force majeure
- Drone filming must meet regulations, airspace, weather and site conditions. If conditions do not allow it, drone footage is not guaranteed and the studio will discuss alternatives in advance.
- Delays or failure to perform caused by weather, airspace restrictions, epidemics, government action, natural disasters, power or network outages, or other causes beyond reasonable control are not a breach; both sides will agree on a new date or adjustment.
- To the extent permitted by law, the studio's total liability for any project is limited to the amount the client actually paid for that project, and the studio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (for example lost profits or business opportunities).
- In the event of equipment failure or data corruption, the studio will make reasonable efforts to remedy it (for example by arranging a reshoot); this is the studio's entire responsibility.
11. Privacy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute amicably; failing that, the competent courts in Los Angeles County, California, will have jurisdiction.
13. Changes and contact
- The studio may update these Terms and will publish the new version and its effective date on the website. Projects with a signed contract continue under the version in force when the contract was signed unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.
